How Long Do I have to Claim Earned CME Credits? Do they renew?

Unclaimed Items

Unclaimed work done within the last three (3) years will be available to claim. Unclaimed items over three years old will not be lost, but they will cease to display in your Unclaimed listing. Contact our CME department for special cases or needs.

Every topic-based CME credit can be claimed per type once per calendar year.

For example, if you complete a topic that provides AMA Category 1 and AAFP Prescribed credits, you can claim the AMA Category 1 "flavor" of credit once - and also claim the AAFP "flavor" at another time that same year, once.

The following calendar year, you can return to previously claimed topics, re-take their updated assessments, and claim recurring CME requirements, year after year.  This is another reason why having an active Med-Challenger account (Premium) makes compliance with annual CME mandates easy every year, throughout your career.

Claimed Items

Claimed items will remain in your Med-Challenger account forever and are accessible for download as long as you are an active Premium Member.

Renewing Premium Membership will restore access to CME claims, including all previous claim PDFs.

Accreditation Status

Med-Challenger maintains accreditation of all products through joint-sponsored accreditation with various leading universities and medical associations.

All accreditation dates are typically renewed on three-year cycles for uninterrupted claims servicing.

Changes to accreditation dates or CME credit type availability are subject to changes by official accrediting bodies.  Med-Challenger will inform customers of such changes should they occur.
